We keep in your prayers all our parishioners who are sick, housebound or in hospital at this time.
We pray for Annie (Vera) Isaac who died recently. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Vera this Friday 22nd Nov 2pm at St Alban’s church, followed by committal at Saltwell crematorium at 3.15pm. May she rest in peace.
Mass this Wednesday will be celebrated at St Alban’s at 10.00am. The school children will anticipate Youth Sunday with a service in church at St Alban’s on Thurs 21 Nov at 3.00pm. All welcome.
Thank you to all those who attended the Mass of Induction on Friday for my installation as Parish Priest of St Patrick’s and St Alban’s and to those who provided the refreshments afterwards. Fr martin
The Advent Café….Is coming back by popular demand – for its 3rd Year, at St. Patrick’s Parish Centre, opening Wednesday, 4th Dec 2024 at 18.00 – offering a chance to explore the themes of Advent. All welcome.
RCIA: The next RCIA Meeting for the John Ingram Partnership will take place this Tuesday 19th November, 6.30pm in the parish centre at St Patrick’s.
The Next Afternoon Tea will be held in the Parish Centre at St Patrick’s next Saturday 23 Nov, 1-3pm. All welcome.
The First Holy Communion children who have been enrolled for this are invited to collect their books during Masses next weekend on Sat 23rd and Sun 24th Nov.

Youth Sunday
Youth Sunday is celebrated on 23rd / 24th November, the Feast of Christ the King, Celebrating Young People Worldwide. We invite all young people and their families to join us for Mass as we celebrate young people worldwide. This Sunday Mass will focus on the theme Let Your Kingdom Come, reflecting on the importance of youth in our Church and our world. During the Masses this weekend our young people who have been enrolled for their First Holy Communion will receive their I Belong book, marking the beginning of their journey in the sacrament.
A Youth Sunday Preparation Evening
will take place on Friday, 22nd November at 5:30pm (in the Parish Centre at St Patrick’s). If you would like to get involved in the Mass – whether through welcoming, reading, music, or any other part – please do come along to our preparation evening. This invitation is open to everyone, not just young people! Youth Sunday – a message from YMT
As we near Youth Sunday on the Feast of Christ the King on 24TH November, we invite you to celebrate and encourage young people in our Diocese. World Youth Sunday resources are now available, including a registration link for CYMFed’s World Youth Funday, a free, interactive livestream event on Friday 22nd November. Join live from studios in London, Nottingham, and YMT, with special guests like Sr. Anna and Sr. Linda (Daughters of Divine Charity), Bishop David Oakley, and more ending the day with a moment of Adoration. St Dominic’s in Newcastle: Be Still and Know that I am God, 21st – 24th November 2024
Join Fr Roger Dawson, SJ, is offering this retreat exploring the human condition with practices common to mindfulness and to Christian contemplative prayer. The retreat will seek to reclaim those practices that share common ground with the tradition of apophatic prayer and theology rooted in the monastic and the Eastern Orthodox traditions. Little Sisters of the Poor
A huge thank you to everyone who very kindly supported our Christmas fayre at St Joseph’s Home (Little Sisters of the Poor) on Saturday 9th November. It was a great success. We hope that you enjoyed it as much as we did. We look forward to welcoming you back. Mother Kathleen Mary and Community Little Sisters of the Poor Christmas Concert The Newcastle Male Chorus and Gibside Singers will be performing a Christmas Concert in the Chapel at St Joseph’s Home (Little Sisters of the Poor) on Saturday 7th December 2024 at 7.00pm.
