We keep in your prayers:

  • all our parishioners who are sick, housebound or in hospital at this time and,
  • Joseph (Joe) Chambers who died recently. A funeral service will be held for Joe this Thurs 14th Nov 12noon at St Patrick’s church. May he rest in peace.

November Remembrance Mass: At Mass this Wednesday 13th Nov. 10.00am at St Alban’s we will remember our loved one’s and especially those who have died during the past year. All welcome.


The Mass of Induction for Fr Martin will take place at St Patrick’s church this Friday 15th November at 6.30pm, followed by refreshments in the parish hall. The Mass will be celebrated by Fr Paul Zelinski, the Dean of this area. All welcome.


Thank you to the Parents who attended the First Holy Communion information evening. Those children who have been enrolled for this are invited to collect their books during Masses on Sat 23rd and Sun 24th November.


Garden Tidy Up at St Patrick’s: Thank you to all those who supported this.


RCIA The next RCIA Meeting for the John Ingram Partnership will take place this Tuesday 12th November, 6.30pm in the parish centre at St Patrick’s.


Youth Sunday
Youth Sunday is celebrated on 23rd / 24th November, the Feast of Christ the King, Celebrating Young People Worldwide. We invite all young people and their families to join us for Mass as we celebrate young people worldwide. This Sunday Mass will focus on the theme Let Your Kingdom Come, reflecting on the importance of youth in our Church and our world.

During the Masses this weekend our young people who have been enrolled for their First Holy Communion will receive their I Belong book, marking the beginning of their journey in the sacrament.


A Youth Sunday Preparation Evening will take place on Friday, 22nd November at 5:30pm (in the Parish Centre at St Patrick’s). If you would like to get involved in the Mass— whether through welcoming, reading, music, or any other part—please do come along to our preparation evening.

This invitation is open to everyone, not just young people! It’s a wonderful opportunity to contribute and be part of the celebration.If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact Rebecca Rutland on; rrutland00@icloud.com. I hope you saw the article in the Northern Cross describing Bishop Stephen’s visit. It was a lovely afternoon and the children were so delighted to meet him. A Liturgy Day for Readers
This is an opportunity for those who proclaim the Scriptures at Mass to look at the background of why we are going to be using a new translation of the Scriptures at Mass. It will take place on Friday, 15th November, 2024 at St. Aloysius, Hebburn from 10.30am – 3.30pm. If you would like to attend, please contact the parish office at felling.stpatrick@diocesehn.org.uk. St Dominic’s in Newcastle: Be Still and Know that I am God, 21st – 24th November 2024 Join Fr Roger Dawson, SJ, is offering this retreat exploring the human condition with practices common to mindfulness and to Christian contemplative prayer. The retreat will seek to reclaim those practices that share common ground with the tradition of apophatic prayer and theology rooted in the monastic and the Eastern Orthodox traditions. Little Sisters of the Poor Christmas Concert
The Newcastle Male Chorus and Gibside Singers will be performing a Christmas Concert in the Chapel at St Joseph’s Home (Little Sisters of the Poor) on Saturday 7th December 2024 at 7.00pm. The concert is in aid of the work of the Little Sisters at St Joseph’s Home. Tickets are £8 (interval drink included), available from St Joseph’s Home – 0191 273 1279.

Although we have re-introduced the collection at each Sunday Mass, we do hope that you might consider making your offering by Standing Order. This is by far the easiest way to donate, ideally on a monthly basis. The details for this are below.

If you are a tax payer why not consider “Gift Aiding” your offering. At no cost to you, the parish receives 25p for every £1.00 you donate. All you need is to complete a simple Gift Aid form which may be obtained from the parish office at stpatrick.felling@diocesehn.org.uk
